Information we collect

There are two kinds of information we obtain: information you give us voluntarily, and information collected automatically when you visit the Website.

Information you provide voluntarily

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, business name, and mailing or billing address.
  • Booking information: the session type you select, your scheduling preferences, time zone, and any notes, goals, or context you enter when booking a call.
  • Coaching and program information: the information you share in intake forms, pre-work, assessments, questionnaires, applications, Life Audit exercises, session notes, and messages you send us.
  • Payment information: billing name, billing address, and the last four digits and expiration date of your payment card. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers. Payments are processed by our third-party payment providers, and your card details are provided directly to them.
  • Community information: your profile name, photo, posts, comments, and messages if you join the Founders Forge community platform.
  • Speaking and media inquiries: your organization, role, event details, dates, budget, audience information, and anything else you submit through our inquiry form.
  • Email subscription information: your name and email address if you subscribe to our list or download a resource.
  • Testimonials and media: your name, business name, photo, likeness, quotes, or video if you choose to provide them. We only publish these with your permission.
  • Anything else you choose to send us, including the content of emails you send to karla@foundersforge.pro.

If you do not want us to have this information, please do not provide it. Choosing not to provide it may limit your ability to book a session, join the Cohort, or use certain features, but it will not affect your ability to read publicly available pages on the Website.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Website, we and certain service providers acting on our behalf may collect information using cookies and similar technologies, including:

  • The IP address and general location from which you accessed the Website
  • Your browser type, device type, and operating system
  • The date, time, and length of your visit
  • The specific pages you viewed and links you clicked
  • The website or link that referred you to us
  • Whether you opened or clicked a link in an email we sent you

We may use this to understand how the Website is used, improve it, measure whether our content and advertising are working, and remember your preferences.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and deliver coaching sessions, audits, and intensives

  • Deliver the specific services you purchased, including pre-work, session materials, operating plans, and follow-up
  • Process payments, issue receipts, manage payment plans, and handle billing questions
  • Evaluate and respond to speaking, workshop, and media inquiries

  • Maintain records, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements
  • Protect against fraud, misuse, and unlawful activity
  • Comply with applicable laws, tax obligations, and legal requests

We do not sell your personal information, and we have not sold it.

Legal basis for processing

Where required by applicable law, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to deliver the coaching, program, or service you purchased.
  • Consent — where you have given it, such as subscribing to marketing emails or agreeing to have a session recorded. You may withdraw consent at any time going forward.
  • Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve our business, and to tell existing clients about relevant programs.
  • Legal obligations — to meet tax, accounting, and other legal requirements.

How we share your information

We share personal information only as described here:

  • Service providers. We use third-party platforms to run this business, listed in the next section. They receive only the information needed to provide their service to us.
  • Payment processors. Payment information is provided directly to our payment providers, whose use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies. Our payment providers maintain PCI-DSS compliance.
  • Professional advisors. Our accountant, bookkeeper, or attorney may access information where necessary to advise us.
  • When legally required. We may disclose information to comply with a law, court order, subpoena, tax authority, or lawful government request.
  • To prevent harm. We may disclose information if we believe someone is being harmed, or that our rights, property, or the safety of others is at risk.
  • Business transfer. If this business is sold, merged, reorganized, or transferred, personal information may be one of the transferred assets.

We do not share confidential coaching content with other clients, cohort members, or third parties, except as described above or with your permission.

Session recordings

Cohort sessions and, in some cases, private sessions may be recorded so that participants can access replays.

If a session will be recorded, we will tell you before recording begins. Cohort session recordings are made available to Cohort members inside the community platform for the duration of their access. If you do not want to appear in a recording, you may keep your camera and microphone off or ask us not to record. Recordings are for participant use only and may not be redistributed.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver our programs and services, maintain our client relationship, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and protect against or resolve potential disputes.

In general:

  • Booking and session records: kept for the duration of the engagement and afterward as business records
  • Payment and billing records: kept as long as required by tax and accounting law
  • Coaching notes and intake materials: kept for the duration of the engagement and a reasonable period afterward
  • Email subscription records: kept until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we do not email you again
  • Website analytics: kept according to the retention settings of our analytics provider

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

  • Right to know and to access the personal information we hold about you and how we use it
  • Right to a copy of your personal information in a portable format
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information
  • Right to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions. We cannot delete information we are required to keep, and deletion may end your access to a program you are enrolled in.
  • Right to restrict or object to certain processing
  • Right to withdraw consent where we rely on it, with effect going forward
  • Right to opt out of marketing. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still email you about a session you booked or a program you joined.
  • Right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

To exercise a right, email karla@foundersforge.pro. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf if we can verify their authority.

Children’s privacy

Our Website, programs, and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has submitted personal information, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has given us information, email karla@foundersforge.pro.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including using reputable service providers, limiting access to information on a need-to-know basis, and using accounts protected by strong passwords and multi-factor authentication where available.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that your information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed without authorization.

Cookies and tracking technologies

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies. They generally fall into three categories:

Essential cookies are required for the Website to work — for example, remembering that you dismissed a notice or keeping a form working correctly.

Analytics cookies help us understand how many people visit, which pages they view, and how they move through the site.

Advertising cookies may be placed by us or by advertising partners to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and show relevant ads on other sites.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting existing cookies or blocking new ones. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Website works.

Your browser may include a “Do Not Track” setting. Our Website is not currently built to respond to Do Not Track signals.

Third-party links

Our Website links to other websites and platforms we do not control, including Skool, Calendly, Zoom, Typeform, Amazon, LinkedIn, and others. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. Please review their privacy policies before providing them with your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top and post the revised version on the Website. Please check back periodically. Your continued use of the Website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
